Immersive audio

In Aalto, the immersive audio lab in Marsio is equipped with a set of 9 pcs Zylia ZM 1S immersive audio microphones which has been designed particularly for the research of immersive sound and can be used for both recording and editing purposes. The studio is adjustable for customised needs but has a permanent acoustic environment and Genelec immersive speaker system. Contact us ahead of time and we will adjust it to be a perfect space for your project.

In Tampere University, there is a surround sound system suitable for outdoors installations, e.g. in a forest. It takes the inputs usually used in consumer surround systems for living room use and has a corresponding number of speakers. The system can also be used indoors, but the speakers are a bit bulkier than typical indoors surround speakers.
