University of Jyväskylä, Department of Psychology is looking for a doctoral student for a four year fixed-term position in a research project called The Rhythm of Connection: Individual Traits, Relationship, and Situation Shaping Interpersonal Synchrony; IRSync, led by Academy Research Fellow Anu Tourunen.
The research investigates bodily synchronisation of individuals during interaction, as seen in autonomous nervous system (skin conductivity and heart rate variables), movements and facial expression, and how individual traits, quality of the relationship between individuals and situational factor affect the synchrony.
The position requires good oral and literary skills both in Finnish for data collection, and in English for the academic work. Read the job advertisement in Finnish here.
